Zorgod Attacks!
Last week, Zorgod summoned an immense army of giant undead constructs to attack the Kingdom of Dawn.  Brave adventurers summoned sky krakens from deep space to combat this menace, but were only partially successful.  Although they defeated Zorgod’sarmy, the Kingdom of Dawn became a necropolis!  No one has been able to contact King Pellinore or any Isitus members.  Not even the Summerlandscould come to Dawn’s aid, as they are currently fighting a disastrous blight.  This paper is being written from hiding in the White Wolf Nations.  We do not know who else survived the destruction.

Clockwork Golem Stopped
A band of adventurers were going to seek their fortunes in the mining town of Tanglebrook Nook when they discovered that the town was under attack by strange shadows in the sky dropping explosives. After a long chase on a Gnomish Eight-Wheeled Scooter they followed these shadows to an unusual clockwork city in the sky.  Unfortunately, they accidentally activated the city, which transformed into a gigantic clockwork golem.  Finally, the adventurers stopped the golem, but not before it destroyed Tanglebrook Nook.  Now, the clockwork city rests peacefully where Tanglebrook Nook used to lie.

Spectres Trapped
Four Questers looking for adventure discovered a shifting curtain of magic that they could touch and walk through, but not affect with magic.  When they tried, they heard a ripping sound, and within seconds found themselves completely unconscious. Their consciousness moved into the bodies of some children, who now had to discover what happened to the adventurers. The Questers had released Espectros, terrible creatures that drain spirit and dream energy in seconds. The child adventurers eventually beat them with Void Knives that could cut through creatures of spirit energy and managed to free the spirits of the four adventurers who had released them.

Time Dragon Defeated
The magistrate of Candy Town, a quaint vacation spot in the Great Heart Forest, tried recently to summon a time dragon named Cthael, for an unknown purpose.  But his magic was not strong enough to stop Cthael, who began destroying the town and enslaving the townsfolk.  Luckily, a band of Questers came upon the town, and offered their aid.  After many struggles, they figured out that Cthael was wreaking havoc in order to obtain a pyramid of power.  This pyramid had been used in the summoning spell, and Cthael wanted to ensure that no one could use it again.  Using the pyramid, the brave adventurers were able to banish Cthaeland restore order to Candy Town.

The Dark Man Destroyed
The Dark Man, a terrifying creature that eats dreams, seemed recently to be a powerful new player in the game of Oranianpolitics.  No one knew where he came from or what his true goals were, but everyone was certain that he was a dangerous Shadowy villain.  But now he is gone.  Some of the most powerful people in the land sacrificed their lives to defeat him.  He consumed their essence in the sight of another group of heroes, arrogantly displaying his power.  But these new heroes were the only ones who could take him out, for only Dream could ever hurt him.  They wielded Dream by their very nature.  In the end, he was destroyed, and all of his Shadowy spells unraveled.

Ogre Subdued
A town terrorized by an ogre and his goblin minions has been saved, thanks to the efforts of brave fighters and mages.  They survived rockslides, parlayed with an old albatross, fought a stone golem, solved a runic trap, and scared a tunneling wyrmto death before arriving at the village, where they discovered their true mission.  They found and scared off the goblins attacking the town, and followed them to their lair.  There the adventurers learned that a giant ogre had been commanding the goblins.  They fought and subdued the ogre, winning another victory for the Light.

Zorgod Destroyed
Zorgod the Necromancer, the Dark King of Shadonia, has finally been defeated, signaling the end of Shadonia’s reign of terror.  By undergoing a series of terrifying ordeals, a group of heroes learned about his true origins and his sordid past of betrayal and thirst for power.  They used that knowledge to discover his true weakness: love and Light.  They could not use violence or aggression to take him down, but had to utilize respect, love, honor, courage, and Light.  They were almost engulfed in the conflagration that swallowed Zorgod’s palace, but escaped in the end. Rumors of his death have caused some Archmages to ponder if Zorgod--or anyone for that matter--could be "killed" by love and Light, or if something else happened.

Plague Totems Shattered
The Plague Dragon, a menace from the distant past, has returned to Orania.  It was raised by Zorgod as an undead, more powerful than before.  To bolster its power, it began to create Plague Totems which sprang up across the land, spreading disease and darkness.  Thankfully, several groups of heroes learned of this, and vowed to destroy the totems before they could channel the Plague Dragon too much power.  One group learned that Romeo’s top lieutenant, Krexxa, was trying to control the plague energy and stage a coup.  They chased him, destroying totems as they went, until they forced him into an epic battle at one of the totems.  Even though he had a scale from the Plague Dragon, they managed to defeat him, and take out the totem that he had been guarding.  Another group searched out the totems that had been corrupted by Zorgod, with the help of another necromancer.  In the end, they had to battle Purge, who wanted to destroy all the innocent undead, as well as the necromancer controlling the totems.  Purge was turned into a zombie during the battle, and fled, just before the necromancer was vanquished.  Vex, Purge’s lieutenant, vows that she will find Purge by whatever means necessary, and end the abomination.  Because of the heroes’ valiant efforts, the Plague Dragon is much weakened.  But it is still out there, a threat to the Light.

Chernebog Redeemed
Chernebog, the fearsome giant tuskephant who has long struck terror in adventurers’ hearts, has at last become Light-filled, according to witnesses.  A group of Questers were tricked by Zorgodinto placing talismans in the Plague Totems that created a zombie plague controllable by Zorgod.  They had just discovered the truth when Chernebogarrived, furious because his beloved Chernekittyhad been killed by the new plague.  A quick-thinking adventurer transformed into a cat to calm him down long enough to explain that Zorgodhad caused Chernekitty’sdeath.  After a standoff with Zorgod'shead liutenant, Chernebograced off to Shadonia, where he delivered a Blow of the Apocalypse to the Wells of Shadow, cracking them and breaking his Shadow axe.  This sent Shadoniacrashing to the ground, its source of power destroyed.  Dororothe Assassin explains that he has given Chernebogthe Unicorn Spear, the last artifact of the IsitusSociety, and Cherneboghas accepted his newfound Light.

Ashida, Meng Beheaded
Until very recently, most reputable witnesses reported that the Empire of the Seven Stars, led by Lin Chu Hao, was allied with Empress Meng and the forces of Shadonia.  The Krov Mercenaries were stationed on its border with the necropolis that had once been the Kingdom of Dawn, and the famed assassin Ashida Takeki could be found in the Empire.  But no longer.  A group of powerful adventurers went to hunt down both Ashida and Meng, promising to destroy their Shadowy taint.  A water elemental named Kirby, now calling himself Kirby the Culler, channeled all the Shadowy power of Krell’s blade to strike off Ashida’s head in an epic battle.  Later, Kyreija, who had recently learned the skills of a Berzerker, did the same to Empress Meng, and held it up in front of all the Krov, making her the new leader of the mercenary group.  To the surprise of many, Lin Chu Hao’s forces  turned against Shadonia what a masterful stroke of power against what seemed to be a shadowy alliance, and the Lotus Regeme reclaimed the Empire of the Seven Stars for the Light.  According to experts, Lin Chu Hao is assured to be the next Empress.
